Fiancial motivation drive this human engineered deforestation for illegal lumber trade. The consequences are devastating to climate stability, biodiversity and the forest habitat.Greenpeace is no beginner in the fight against this absurdity and has asked the European Comission for firm regulations in this area. But the challenge is global and the UN Climate Change Summit will be held in Copenhagn this december.
